Putting a defibrillator on a wall is a great first step in saving lives – and adding monitoring ensures it’ll always be operational
We know that a shock to the heart with an automated external defibrillator (AED) can boost survival rates significantly – but to make sure yours never stops working, connect to a monitoring plan. A myriad of options are available to suit your needs.

These days, AEDs are a common sight when you’re out and about. The problem is, many of them just don’t work.

In fact, it’s estimated that up to 30 percent of automated external defibrillators wouldn’t be able to save a life during an emergency.
If your team is struggling to keep up with manual AED checks, expired pads and battery monitoring, you’re not alone. Organisational changes, cost-cutting and more people working remotely means many of the hundreds of thousands of AED units around Australia just aren’t being looked after.
That’s where we come in. We can advise the best locations for your AEDs, connect you with our defibrillator remote monitoring and train your team so they’re confident to act during a sudden cardiac arrest.
Why remote monitoring makes sense

It improves your brand and employee trust
- Connecting to a monitoring service shows your commitment to employee and public safety
- It improves trust and staff morale, and promotes an internal culture of safety
- It reduces loss of life, reputational risk and potential PR disasters over ‘cutting corners’

It takes the burden off your internal teams
- Monitor multiple AEDs anywhere, improving efficiency and risk management
- Option to automate alerts so your team instantly knows if something’s wrong
- With our comprehensive plan, we take responsibility for upkeep, records and parts replacement

It helps you stay on top of risk mitigation and costs
- You can bundle monitoring, maintenance, parts replacement and support into one flat fee
- If an incident does occur you have logs / reports proving the device was properly maintained and compliant
- You can avoid surprise costs and have peace of mind that you’re extending the life of your AEDs
How does remote monitoring work?

A monitor is attached into your AED cabinet
We install the ‘SMART’ battery-powered monitor directly into your AED cabinet with the sensor sitting on the AED

The sensor monitors your AED continually
Data from the sensor is transmitted via 4G or the NB IoT cellular network to the world’s largest AED system monitoring platform

An alert is triggered if your AED is deployed or removed
Your team are notified with EMERGENCY alerts in real time via email / SMS – all without draining critical power from your defibrillator

We can also troubleshoot the issue for you
If a comprehensive management plan is in place, we monitor your AED 24/7 and will notify you if a fault is detected. We’ll then work with you to get your AED back in working order quickly and efficiently
