AED Maintenance & Compliance
AED monitoring, testing and maintenance takes upkeep and compliance out of your hands and puts it into ours
Even if manual checks are built into your facility’s operational procedures, it’s hard to be completely sure that your defibrillator is always functioning. Instead, guard against device failure by putting our trusted remote AED monitoring in place today

What can happen without AED maintenance?

You ticked the box and had defibrillators installed. Maintaining them has been hit and miss; your team is stretched to the limit.
But what if a staff member or visitor suffers a cardiac arrest – and the AED on the wall doesn’t work? We’ve been called in after these situations. They’re the stuff of nightmares for any health and safety officer responsible for emergency equipment.
Here’s the thing, though: defibrillators can and do fail, especially if they’re not monitored and maintained. And if someone dies because the AED wasn’t functional, companies may face workplace safety violations and reputational harm. Don’t take the risk of having a defibrillator in your facility that doesn’t work.
About our Comprehensive AED monitoring and maintenance programs
Why do you need AED Compliance Testing?
An AED status indicator/light is not a guarantee that your AED will shock in an emergency. We recommend all AEDs are shock tested and measured once a year, to ensure the AED is fully operational at the recommended energy output levels.
How does it work?
The ‘shock’ energy output is measured using our specialised analysis testing equipment, to ensure your unit meets the recommended parameters set down by your AED manufacturer and guidelines. On successful completion of the service and testing, you will receive an AED Compliance Test Report outlining the performance results of your AED.
The annual onsite Comprehensive AED maintenance and testing includes:
- The on-site visit of the approved technician
- Replacement of electrodes and battery/batteries
- A machine-simulated ‘live shock’ testing and output measuring
- Full functionality testing
- Physical inspection and cleaning of your AED & components
- Full written inspection and performance report
- Checks of mandatory signage
- AED Cabinet integrity check

FAQ
A few common questions we get asked about our AED maintenance programs
What does AED maintenance mean?
We service your defibrillator, checking batteries and pads, perform on-site device test, replace batteries and pads as required, check it’s been correctly installed and is in the right location.
What does a comprehensive service plan include?
Our comprehensive service plan includes 24/7 remote monitoring, so we can attend to faults and you’re alerted to any emergencies. This plan includes hardware, software, monitoring, training, parts and annual on-site device testing and preventative maintenance.
Can you offer monitoring and maintenance on existing AEDs, or just the ones you install?
We offer an AED monitoring and maintenance plan on most current leading AED brands – and it’s no problem if your AED wasn’t purchased from us.
What if I have lots of AEDs in multiple facilities?
We specialise in the end-to-end management of defibrillator fleets – so if you’re an organisation with multi-unit and multi-site environments, we can chat to you about a plan that’ll take care of all your units and ensure they’re always operational.
How expensive is AED monitoring and maintenance?
It’s actually pretty cost-effective, if you factor in the time your team spends manually checking AEDs. Plus, there’s the risk of lawsuits due to missed inspections and poorly maintained equipment. A monitoring and maintenance subscription offers great ROI, and ticks the compliance box, too.
What kind of AED products can I buy from you?
We sell a range of defibrillators, cabinets and signage, batteries and electrode packs and oxy-defib backpacks. Check out our product range here for all our ready to ship items.
